We’re pleased to announce applications for Champions for Children 2026 are open!

Champions for Children will run for 2 weeks from Tuesday, 2nd June 2026 to Tuesday, 16th June 2026. Our goal is to match the success of last year’s campaign, where a whopping £4.4m was raised by 84 charities to support more than 170,000 children experiencing poverty in London.

Since its inception in 2020, Champions for Children has raised more than £22m for hundreds of projects supporting children experiencing poverty across all 32 London boroughs.

Donations raised through this campaign will power a wide range of vital programmes, from food banks and summer programmes, to providing essential items like clothing and bedding, as well as educational support to improve literacy and long-term opportunities for the children.

Our matched funding model empowers charities to tell their networks that every donation will be doubled, helping them raise even more. This year, we’re offering a new 1:1 model of donations, where charities can raise between £2,000 and £5,000 and The Childhood Trust will match this donation without the requirement of a pledge.

How to get involved

If you'd like to help us continue championing our partners and their vital work, here's what you can do:

  1. Consider donating to support our ongoing efforts. Every contribution helps us empower, upskill, and amplify those tackling child poverty on the frontlines.
  2. Want to make an even bigger impact? Spread the word, engage with our charity partners’ content, and follow us on social media for campaign updates, inspiring stories, and ways to get involved. Just search #ChampionsforChildren2026 online.
