The London Child Poverty Summit is a one-day event that provides opportunities for leaders in London’s third sector to collaborate and communicate key issues impacting children in poverty.
The Childhood Trust and the London Child Poverty Alliance held the second London Child Poverty Summit on Thursday 17th October 2019. The summit featured presentations, panels, and performances from a wide range of experts on child poverty, including government representatives, educators, healthcare providers, youth workers, and young people affected by poverty. Keynote speeches were made by the Children’s Commissioner for England, Anne Longfield OBE and Debbie Weekes-Bernard, the Deputy Mayor for Social Integration, Social Mobility and Community Engagement.
Every child should have a healthy, happy and safe childhood so that all children are well prepared for life, breaking the cycle of poverty.
