Applications for our Champions for Children 2024 matched-funding campaign opened on Tuesday, 2 January 2024, and closed on Friday, 9 February 2024.
Here at The Childhood Trust, we raise funds to provide support for children who live in poverty in London and we are looking for charities that have an existing supporter base and an appetite to work with us to help break the cycle of poverty. To achieve this, we look to support charities who provide support for children across our four key impact areas:
Our first Champions for Children campaign was launched in 2020 in response to the devastating effect of COVID-19 lockdowns on vulnerable children. Since then, our annual Champions for Children campaign has raised over £13M, providing vital funding to 368 charities and engaging approximately 400,000 children facing disadvantages and poverty across London.
This year, the campaign will run for two weeks from Tuesday 4 June to Tuesday 18 June 2024. Below are some key dates for our charity partners who are taking part in this year's campaign.
Together, we hope to raise even more than last year’s impressive £3,503,225, which impacted 68,000 children living in poverty through 83 projects across London.
