Players of People’s Postcode Lottery raise vital funds to support our mission to combat child poverty in London.

We are excited to announce a three-year funding award totaling £600,000, generously provided by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. We will receive £200,000 each year for the next three years to directly support our core work.

Currently, one in three children - 700,000 across all 32 boroughs - live below the poverty line in the capital. We partner with a network of 135 voluntary organisations working in London who are helping around 390,000 children annually in 32 boroughs, providing support including nutritious meals, social, physical and creative activities, therapies, education and mentoring.

Lindsay Coulton, Health and Wellbeing Advisor at People’s Postcode Lottery, said: "I am delighted that players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £600,000 to support The Childhood Trust in their mission to combat child poverty in London. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment and funding from players will help The Childhood Trust alleviate the devastating impact poverty has across the capital.”

Tara MacDowel, Head of Philanthropy at The Childhood Trust, commented: “We are thrilled to have been awarded this funding due to the generosity of the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. With their support, we are able to continue our mission to alleviate the effects of poverty for the 700,000 children living below the breadline in London. This funding allows us to reach more children in need, providing crucial resources and services to help break the cycle of poverty and offer children a brighter, more hopeful future."
